Our highly experienced Business Recovery team provide advisory, restructuring and rescue, and insolvency services to a vast range of clients from partnerships and SMEs to corporates with complex requirements.  We work with businesses of all sizes as well as lenders and investors, directors, shareholders and creditors.  

Well established, with a national presence, our team continues to expand and we are looking for an existing Senior Manager or experienced Manager, to join us at our headquarters in Daresbury to lead a team of 6.

Your role

Your role will be to manage and supervise a team of 6 (case administrators and trainees) in carrying out their duties, ensuring the delivery of case work in a professional, high-quality and timely manner; mitigating risks for the firm; and maintaining the morale of the team. You will also provide support to the partners.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

• Involvement in staff appraisals, training and professional development.
• Ensuring case reviews and progress reports reach the partners by our internal deadlines.
• Ensuring investigations are carried out and D reports are prepared and reviewed in a timely manner.
• Overseeing initial on-site work on formal insolvencies.
• Attendance at client meetings and business development events.
• Ensuring statutory compliance.
• Driving case progression and closure.
• Assisting partners with advisory assignments.

Successful applicants will have:

• Proven experience of managing a team
• Good technical ability but no formal accountancy qualifications necessary
• JIEB qualification (advantageous not essential)
• Experience of working with high volume work/cases
• Strong communication skills
• A flexible approach in order to “get the job done”, as is required when working as part of a small team
